What are the different SMS editing tools BayEngage offers?
1. Generate SMS text
This is the new feature in BayEngage where you can generate content for your SMS campaigns in seconds. You can set the tone for your content, optimize its length, and also add smileys if needed. The content will be generated according to your preference.
Click the magic wand icon → choose the tone → select smileys → Click generate → Generate two variations → Not satisfied (click regenerate) → click the right template → It gets added in the SMS compose section.
2. Upload Image
Product images and other images from the device can be uploaded to your MMS. The image should be less than 500kb. You can also add premium icons specially designed for sale and other special occasions.
Click upload image → hover over the image → click insert → Gets added along with your SMS template.
3. Contact Card
A contact card is an eCard that can be added to your SMS campaigns to increase deliverability and avoid being marked as spam by customers. You can create your own contact card for your business by entering the details in the general settings.
Click the red phone directory icon → Add it along with your welcome message.
NOTE:
Attaching a contact card will make the message MMS content (Charges will be applicable accordingly).
Either an Image or Contact card can be attached, not both.
4. Insert Personalization
Personalization is the key to making your SMS campaigns more effective and interactive.
Problem: Personalized tags were deleted character by character before, and when these tags were not sent properly, recipients get to see the misspelled tags as such.
Solution: Now BayEngage has enhanced this feature where the entire tag gets deleted if you delete the personalization tag. Therefore, it helps us to avoid small mistakes in your SMS campaigns.
The highlighted tags get deleted entirely if you backspace them once.
Pro tip: To add a personalized tag, you can use the symbol “@” followed by the tag name.
5. Coupons
Coupons are another important part of your SMS campaigns. Before adding them to your SMS template, add the created coupon code.
Coupons → create coupon → Add a coupon title → Add the coupon name → Select whether it is a static or dynamic coupon → Add your segmented list as a CSV file → Set the active period of your coupon
Now, you can just add the coupon by clicking the coupon icon and selecting the coupon name you have created.
NOTE: BayEngage doesn’t help you generate coupons. You should generate your coupons on another platform and paste the coupon code here to spread the word. So BayEngage acts as a platform where you can attach a generated code and track them.
6. Smileys
Smileys are an easier way to express certain emotions and excitement visually by adding them in relevant places
Keep the pointer where you want to insert the smiley → Click the smiley icon → choose a relevant smiley → Gets added to your SMS template.
