Are the Conference Calling and Paid Interpreter features reverting back to the Premium subscription?

Yes.

Why are these features reverting back to Premium?

At the start of the pandemic, the Tarjimly team decided to make two of our Premium subscription features available to everyone at no cost to enable remote language access. Both conference calling and access to paid interpreters were offered for free. This decision was made to ensure that our community could contact whomever they needed with a Tarjimly interpreter on the line from the safety of their own homes.

As vaccines roll out and life begins to return to a new normal, Tarjimly will be reverting the conference calling and access to paid interpreters features back to Tarjimly Premium on September 1, 2021.

How will this affect me?
Tarjimly's base services will continue to remain free. This includes the ability to select any language pairing on the app, connect to a volunteer interpreter, text, send voice notes and images, and make an internet call.

You will no longer be able to add in other numbers into your internet call, meaning you will no longer be able to call third parties with a Tarjimly interpreter on the line, or add a Tarjimly interpreter to an online meeting.

You will also lose access to our pool of paid interpreters that support rarer languages. This may decrease the probability and speed of connecting for certain languages.

What is Tarjimly Premium and how can I sign up?
Tarjimly Premium and Premier NGO are paid subscriptions on the Tarjimly app that provide additional features designed to meet humanitarian and organization needs. To learn more about the services and how to sign up, click here.

What if I need conference calling but can't afford the fee?
If you're a humanitarian, small organization, or refugee/immigrant/asylum seeker in need of conference calling but you can't afford our subscription fees, please email us at team@tarjim.ly. As a mission-based organization, we never want finances to be a barrier to language access.
