As the owner of a team in Taskbird, you can assign employees or teammates and teams to any task.

In order to assign tasks to your team, they need to join the Taskbird app as members of your team. Make sure to invite them first, and share this guide with them if they need help joining your team.

After your employees or teammates have joined your team, they will show up as an option for you to assign tasks to them.

Viewing unassigned tasks

A task that is not assigned to anyone will show a question mark in a yellow background as the task's icon, to indicate it is unassigned.

Tip: A quick way to view all unassigned tasks from your schedule is to go to the calendar view of your tasks. To open the calendar, tap on the calendar icon located at the top right of the Tasks screen.

Here you will be able to view the number of tasks that currently exist on your calendar each day.

Tasks that are assigned to someone or to a team/crew will show as a blue number, and tasks that are unassigned will show as a yellow number, as you can see in the image below:

How to assign a task

In order to assign a task to someone or to a crew, you need to find the task and tap on it. You can do this both from the main/tasks screen by scrolling down to find it, or by navigating to the date of the task in the calendar view.

Whichever way you use to reach it, once you find the task, tap on it to open its details. The details page of your task should look something like the example below - tap on the "unassigned" field to assign it to someone.

As soon as you tap on "unassigned", the app will show you a list of members and crews in your team. Select one or more team member or a crew, and tap on the "assign" button at the bottom of the screen.

Once you confirm it, you will be taken back to the task's details, and the member or crew that you selected will show under the "assigned to" field, like this:

If you later decide to add more people to the task, tap on "+more teammates". If you need to remove the assigned person from the task, tap on the bin icon.
