The Basics

A good workflow is probably one of the most important things you can have in a business.

Workflow is all the tasks that you complete throughout the process of taking your client from a new lead to a completed job.

Many of these tasks are the exact same for every job you do or product you offer. So instead of adding those tasks manually for each new job, we can create them as templates so that they are applied automatically and ready to go.

In Workspace, there are two types of workflows: those that are attached to job types and those that are attached to deliverables.

  • Job Workflows
Job Workflows are attached to job types and appear on every new lead/job that's created for a specific type.

  • Deliverable Workflows
Deliverable Workflows are attached to products, which can be tangible goods or services. These only appear when the specific product is ordered through a quote or order.

Quick Tip for Moving Tasks and Task Lists

When you add your first task list to a new Workflow template, it will appear in the Fulfillment section by default. If you’d like to place it in another section - such as Lead or Booked - you can simply drag and drop it. Click and hold the task list, then drag it up or down to move it to your desired section.
