Hello! In this article, we’ll guide you through the necessary DNS record changes that should be applied as soon as possible to keep your custom domain up and running.
To make these changes, you'll need to access your domain registrar account, where your DNS records are stored. This could be with providers like GoDaddy, Google Domains, Namecheap, Bluehost, or any other similar service. While there are many registrars, the process is similar for each.
The main change you need to make is adding "cd" to your CNAME record in your domain registrar settings. Let’s walk through it step-by-step:
Open your domain registrar's website and log in.
Locate your DNS settings, where you’ll see some DNS records.
Find the record with the CNAME type.
Check the value of this CNAME record; it should include "cd" as shown in the screenshot above.
If "cd" is missing, click on the three dots next to the record, choose the edit option, add "cd" so it reads: yourtaxfirm.cd.taxdome.com, (where “yourtaxfirm” it’s your TaxDome firm's domain) and save the changes.
After making these changes, please wait a couple of minutes for the settings to apply. Then, check your domain by opening it in a new browser tab or incognito mode.
Please make sure to apply these changes as soon as possible, as they are crucial to keeping your domain functional.
