Household income includes income from the following sources that were earned by you (and your spouse if married filing jointly) during the taxable year:

  1. Wages & Salaries, 

  2. Self-employment income,

  3. Tips, 

  4. Taxable interest,

  5. Dividends,

  6. Unemployment compensation,

  7. Gain on sale of assets,

  8. Rental income & Partnership K-1's,

  9. Canceled/forgiven debt,

  10. Alimony received,

  11. IRA distributions,

  12. Pensions and annuities,

  13. Social security benefits,

  14. Other income

Do not include the following in taxable income:

  1. Child Support payments received,

  2. Insurance proceeds (accident, casualty, health, life),

  3. Meals and lodging for the convenience of the employer,

  4. Veterans’ benefits,

  5. Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC)
