Recurring rides

Written by Jatin Notani

It's possible to set up previously created and new rides as recurring rides. These rides will then be automatically created in the trip manager.

You can set up a recurring ride by checking the 'repeat' checkbox while editing an existing ride or creating a new one. (See screenshot below)

When you check this checkbox a popup will appear (See screenshot below)

Saving and editing a recurring ride
The ride in which you last edited the recurring details will be the source for all future generated rides based on this one. You can change the recurring details by editing them in one of the generated rides or the source ride. When changing the recurring details you will be asked how to process these changes. This way you can change them for all future rides.

Generating recurring rides
To prevent the trip manager from being overrun by recurring rides, the rides won't be created immediately. Recurring rides are created during the night and always one week ahead of the ride itself. So if you created a ride for monday, it will be created on the monday a week earlier and it will be a reservation.

The first week in a recurring scheme will not be created. For example; if on Monday you make a new scheme for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, we will create the first recurring ride for Tuesday next week. The other two rides for the current week will have to be created manually but are only single rides as next week they will be recurring.
