Ready to purchase a course or coaching product? This guide walks you through choosing a pricing plan and completing checkout.
Buy a product
When purchasing a product on Teachable, you’ll start by choosing a pricing plan, then proceed to the checkout page, where you can enter your details and complete payment. If there’s only one pricing plan, simply click Enroll to go straight to checkout.
If there are multiple plans, select the option that works best for you before continuing.
Choose a pricing plan:
Payment plan type | Description |
Free | Allows access to product free of charge |
One-time purchase | Pay once for lifetime or defined access |
Payment plan | Pay in multiple monthly installments |
Subscription | Recurring payments (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually) |
Click Enroll in course to proceed to checkout.
Note: For subscriptions, your billing date is based on the date of purchase and cannot be changed.
The checkout page
At checkout, you’ll see multiple sections to review and complete your purchase.
Order Summary
This section displays the product name and price
You can enter any coupon code by clicking Add Coupon
If applicable, tax will appear based on your address
If you are located in a country where tax is levied, the amount charged for tax will be listed in the Order Summary section. If you are purchasing as a business entity and have a valid Tax ID, you may enter your Tax ID in the Billing Address section of the checkout page, which will in turn remove the tax charge from your total.
Contact information
Enter your email address.
If this is your first purchase, this email will be used to create your account
If you already have an account, you’ll be prompted to log in
Password creation
After completing your purchase, you'll be prompted to enter in your name and create a password for your account. You'll also be sent an email asking you to confirm your account (more on that below).
If you already have an account in the school, enter in the email your account is under. Then, you’ll be prompted to login via a popup window.

Payment options
You can pay via credit/debit card, PayPal, mobile pay, or Buy Now Pay Later (if available with the school).
Credit card
Select Credit Card
Enter:
Name on Card
Card number
Expiration date
CVC
Country and postal code
Optional: check “Save my card for future purchases”
Click Buy Now
Once you've entered all the required information, you can then choose to save your payment information to your Teachable Account by checking the Save my card for future purchases box.
PayPal
Select PayPal
Choose your country
Click the PayPal button
You’ll be redirected to PayPal to complete the purchase
Note: Some non-USD products can only be purchased via credit card.
Mobile payment method
Tap the Apple Pay or Google Pay option
Review your payment info in the overlay
Enter your CVV
Tap Confirm
Please note, this option may disappear if:
You apply a coupon for recurring payments
You add an order bump with a recurring price
Note: When applicable, tax will be applied during checkout after you have added your address in the Google Pay or Apple Pay overlay.
Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL)
If available, select a provider like Klarna or Afterpay:
Enter your email and billing address
Choose a BNPL provider
You’ll be redirected to complete the purchase on their platform
Billing address and business details
Required for credit/debit card purchases. Fill out:
Country
Street address
City
State/Province
Postal code
You can also:
Check “Delivery address same as billing”
Enter a separate delivery address if needed
While there might not be any physical products associated with the purchase, this information is required to calculate any taxes, if applicable.
Add a tax ID (optional)
If purchasing the product as a business:
Click “Are you a business? Enter your Tax ID”
Enter your Business Name and Tax ID
This will remove applicable tax from your total
Complete Your Purchase
After entering your payment info, click Buy Now.
In some cases, your bank requires extra authorization (SCA), you may see a pop-up to confirm the transaction.
If you’re using PayPal, you’ll be redirected to complete the purchase on their site.
After checkout
Once your purchase is complete:
You’ll be taken to a thank you page
A receipt will be emailed to you
You’ll receive an account confirmation email
You'll also receive an account confirmation email. Click Confirm Email to activate your account.
You can now log in and access your product!
