Learn how to access and manage student user profiles in your Teachable school.

Overview

Every student in your school has a user profile where you can view their account information, login stats, roles, and more. You can also update credentials, add notes, and assign administrative privileges.

  • Quickly access account details for any enrolled student.

  • Manage login credentials, user roles, and profile notes.

  • View referral data, tags, and overall usage activity.


How to access a student profile

Option 1: From the Users tab

  1. In your school admin, go to Users > Students.

  2. Select a student from the list to view their full profile.

Option 2: From a product page

  1. Go to the course or product the student is enrolled in.

  2. Click the Students tab from the submenu.

  3. Select the student from the enrollment list.


What’s in a student profile

The Information tab of the user profile includes the following sections:

Profile

  • View the student’s name, email, and delivery address (if saved at checkout).

  • Add internal notes to the user profile (not visible to students).

  • Update the student’s email or password if needed.


Linked accounts

Shows whether the student’s account is connected to a Teachable account or Google account.


Tags

  • View all tags associated with the student.

  • Add or remove tags as needed for tracking or segmentation.


Privileges

  • View or assign admin or owner roles to the user.

  • This is where you grant elevated permissions.


Stats

  • See account activity like join date, last login, and number of logins.

  • View assigned roles (e.g., student, affiliate, author).

  • Check IP addresses and gross revenue associated with the user.

  • If the student signed up via a special link, you’ll also see the signup source.


Referrals

  • View student participation in your referral program (if enabled).

  • See the student’s referral code, how many users they’ve referred, and who referred them.


Delete

  • Permanently delete the user and all enrollments.

  • To delete a user with owner status, remove their privileges first.
