The Customer Balances table allows you to view all of your customers' balances in one place.

Viewing the Customer Balances Table

You can view your customer balances by following the steps below:

  1. Click on "Billing".

  2. Click on "Customer Balances".

When you are viewing the Customer Balances table, you will be able to see the following three columns:

  1. Net Invoices - This column displays sum of all "Approved" or "Paid" invoices minus any "Approved" credit notes for a customer.

  2. Net Payments - This column displays the total of all payments made by the customer minus any refunds.

  3. Account Balance - This column displays the customer's balance and is equal to the "Net Invoices" total minus the "Net Payments" total. A positive number indicates that the customer owes money and a negative number indicates that you owe them.

Viewing Customer Transactions

You can view a list of all the customer's transactions by following the steps below:

  1. Click on "Billing" and then click on "Customer Balances"

  2. Click on the "View" icon next to the customer whose transactions you'd like to view.

This will display the customer's invoices and payments in chronological order.

Customer Status Filter

By default, only "Active" customers will have their balances displayed. However, if you would like to view the balances for customers that are "Inactive" or "Prospective", you can use the filter at the top of the Customer Balances table to choose the relevant status:
