Tax/Payroll Identification Number Add-On

This add-on lets you store tax or payroll identification numbers (such as Australian Business Numbers, Social Insurance Numbers, or Social Security Numbers) for teachers and employees. These numbers can easily be included in payslip emails or on teacher invoices.

Enabling the Add-on

  1. Click on "Account & Settings" and then click on "Integrations & Add-Ons".

  2. Use the "Search" field on the right and enter in "Payroll Identification Numbers".

  3. Click on the "Enable" link.

Settings

Click on "Manage" to configure the add-on. You can customize the following setting:

Custom Label - This field will allow you to change the label that appears on your employees' profiles and forms. If it's left blank, this label will be "Payroll ID Number".

Usage

Once the add-on has been enabled, you will be able to see a “Payroll ID Number” field on employee profiles under the “Employment Details” section. You can add a number to the "Payroll ID Number” by following the steps below:

  1. Click on "Employees" and then click on "Employee List".

  2. Click on the "Edit" button next to the employee's profile you'd like to add a payroll ID number to.

  3. Scroll down to the "Employment Details" section.

  4. Set the number in the "Payroll ID Number" field.

  5. Submit the form to save your changes.

You will also see a {PAYROLL-ID} merge tag added to the "Employee Payment" email template. If you've included this merge tag in your email template, the payroll ID recorded on employee profiles will be added to their email.

Security

The numbers are encrypted in the database to add additional security. When you edit an employee's profile, they are then decrypted and rendered on their profile.

NOTE: While we follow security best practices for keeping your information secure, companies are responsible for storing and handling employee identification numbers in accordance with the privacy laws for their respective country.
