The Location Links Add-on allows you to display a location name as a link to a web address. This add-on is a good solution for online tutors that use online whiteboards, as the location name can be hyperlinked to the online whiteboard or meeting room. Students can simply click on the link in the calendar or in their lesson reminder email as soon as the lesson commences.

If you tutor students at their homes, a link to their physical address can also be added to this field.

Enabling the Add-on

  1. Click on "Account & Settings" and then click on "Integrations & Add-ons".

  2. Use the "Search" field on the right and enter "Location Links".

  3. Click on the "Enable" link.

Usage

Once enabled, you can add a link while you are creating a new location or you can edit an existing location. You can follow the steps below to add a location link for each scenario:

New Location

  1. Click on "Account & Settings" and then click on "Locations".

  2. Click on "Add Location" on the right-hand side.

  3. Fill out the fields. You will notice a new "Link" field and you can paste the link into this field (remember to include http:// or https:// at the front to make it clickable).

  4. Submit the form to save your changes.

Edit an Existing Location

  1. Click on "Account & Settings" and then click on "Locations".

  2. Click on "Edit" next to the location you'd like to add a link to.

  3. Add the link to the "Link" field (remember to include http:// or https:// at the front to make it clickable).

  4. Submit the form to save your changes.

NOTE: If you need to create location links for each teacher, such as Zoom Meetings Rooms, you can use our Teacher Location Links Add-on to create a single location that uses a link to a web address entered directly on a teacher's profile.

Where will the link appear?

The link will appear on pages where there is reference to the location. This includes the following pages:

  • On the Calendar when you click on the "View" link for a lesson.

  • In Lesson Reminder emails.

  • On the "Locations" table.

  • On the ""Lesson History" table after clicking on a lesson title.

  • On the "Lesson History by Student" table after clicking on the lesson title.

Sub-Locations

Individual links can be added to each individual sub-location. If you don’t add a link to a sub-location, the link added to the parent location will be applied automatically.

You can find more information about sub-locations here: Sub-Locations.
