The Calendar Lock allows you to prevent lessons and non-teaching events from being scheduled, edited or deleted on or before a specific date. You can use a set date or automatically lock the calendar a number of days relative to the current date.

This is useful if you'd like to prevent teachers from making changes to lessons after they've occurred.

Enabling the Add-on

  1. Click on "Account & Settings" and then click on "Integrations & Add-ons".

  2. Use the "Search" field on the right and enter "Calendar Lock".

  3. Click on the "Enable" link.

Settings

Once the add-on has been enabled, there are a number of settings that you can configure to meet your company's requirements. You can find a list of these settings below:

  1. Lock Method - This field allows you to select the method for locking the calendar. You can select between the following options:

    • Fixed Date - This options allows you to lock calendar events using a specific date.

    • Trailing Date - This options allows you to lock calendar events using a date relative to the current date.

    • Trailing Weekday - This option allows you to lock calendar events on or before the most recently ended day of the week selected.

    • Trailing Month End - This option allows you to lock calendar events on the last day of the previous month.

  2. Enable Lock Override - This setting allows you to allow the company administrator and/or staff users to edit calendar events prior to the lock date.

NOTE: When selecting "Trailing Weekday" or "Trailing Month End", a "Delay" setting will appear. The "Delay" will wait the number of days selected after the day of the week or month end before locking the previous month.

After selecting a lock method, any lessons or events on or before the date will not display the "Edit", "Complete" or "Delete" options in the pop-up that appears when you click the event.

The pop-up will also display a lock icon in the upper right corner to indicate that the event is locked.

You will also find a lock icon in the "Lesson History" and "Lesson History by Student" tables in place of the check box.
