To keep your calendar clean and performing quickly, Teachworks does not generate infinite lessons all at once. Instead, it uses a rolling window:
Initial Generation: When you create a never ending repeating series, lessons are scheduled up to 13 months from the current date.
Automatic Extension: Every month, the system automatically extends the series out by another month, ensuring you always have a rolling 13-month schedule.
Termination: The series will continue to extend indefinitely until you explicitly change the repeat settings or cancel the series.
NOTE: The series will always be extended using your original Repeat Settings. If you need to change the days or frequency of an ongoing series, you must update the Repeat Settings form. If you simply shift individual lesson dates on the calendar, the following month will ignore those changes and continue based on the original repeat settings.
Editing a Never Ending Repeating Series of Lessons
There may be scenarios that will require the repeat settings of a never-ending series to be changed, such as a student switching the days of their lessons.
To update the recurrence pattern for all upcoming lessons in a series, follow these steps:
Go to the Calendar and click on a lesson in the series you'd like to start from.
Click on the "Edit" button in the pop-up menu.
Click on the "Edit" button next to the Repeat field.
Update the days of the week, frequency, or times to match the student's new schedule.
Click on "Submit" to save the changes made to the "Repeat Settings". The new settings will be displayed beside the "Repeat" field.
Under the "Apply To" section, select "Current & Future Lessons"
Click on "Submit" to save your changes
