Whether your business is based in the UK, Australia, Singapore, or anywhere else globally, Teachworks is fully customizable to fit your regional needs.
Here is a quick guide to getting your account localized and ready for business in just a few steps.
Regional & Time Zone Settings
Getting your calendar and scheduling aligned with your local time zone is step number one.
Set Your Company Time Zone: Head to Account & Settings > Account Settings > Localization Settings to select your local time zone. This ensures all system-generated emails and reminders go out at the right time.
Adjust Date & Time Formats: In the same section, choose your preferred format (e.g.,
DD/MM/YYYYor 24-hour clock) so it feels familiar to your team and clients.
TIP: Teachworks allows your employees and clients to set their own individual time zones. The system automatically converts lesson times so everyone sees the schedule in their local time. No more manual time-zone math! You can find more information here: User Time Zones Add-on.
Currency & Tax Customization
We make it easy to bill your clients accurately, no matter what currency you use or what tax laws you follow.
Choose Your Currency: Go to Account & Settings > Account Settings > Localization Settings to select your country's base currency.
Configure Local Taxes: Whether you charge VAT, GST, HST, or a local sales tax, you can create custom tax rates. Go to the Invoice Settings section, add your local tax percentage, and choose whether it should apply automatically to all new invoices.
Language & Custom Labels (Localization)
Whether you refer to your employees as "Tutors," "Teachers," or "Instructors" or your clients as "Students" or "Learners", Teachworks speaks your language.
Customize System Labels: Go to Account & Settings> Account Settings > Terminology Settings to rewrite core terminology across your entire account.
Translate Emails & Invoices: All customizable email templates, invoice labels, and system notifications can be written in your local language.

Accepting payments globally is seamless thanks to our direct integration with Stripe.
