Send assessments to students

Updated this week

Step 1: Send to students

After finalizing an assessment (we’ll use a test as an example), you can send it to the students in your class:

Step 2: Who will you share it with?

You can select an existing class, choose specific students, or create a new class.

Step 3: Set up your assessment before sending

Here you can configure the assessment to save time both during administration and grading:

Send date (schedule the date and time when Teachy will send the assessment to students).

Start time: set the exact time the assessment begins.

Available until (the final date and time students can submit this assessment).

End time: Set the time the assessment will close.

Test duration (set the total time allowed: no time limit or up to 3 hours).

Shuffle choices (randomizes answer options for each student to discourage cheating).

Grade with AI (each open-ended question graded by AI will deduct 100 credits).

After configuring the assessment, when you click “Next,” it will be sent to your class. You can share the assessment link via WhatsApp or view the assessment in your class.

If needed, you can send the assessment link to a student who isn’t in the class. After completing the assessment, that student will be added to the class.

By clicking “View in class,” you’ll go to the class management page, where the assessment will appear:

  • Online assessment (Teachy platform)

After completing the steps above, the assessment will be scheduled to go out on the date and time you set.

Clicking the assessment on your class page takes you to the detailed monitoring page for that assessment:

Students without internet access

If some students don’t have internet access, you won’t be able to send materials and assessments through Teachy—but we’ve thought of that!

You can create a printable test in Teachy; it includes an answer sheet and a QR code for each student, making grading automatic and very fast!

On the same assessment page you created, instead of sending it to students, click the Download button:

The test file (.docx) will download automatically to your device, and you’ll see the class confirmation message:

Click Next to open the screen with the assessment materials you must download (question booklet and answer sheets) or may download (answer key).

  • Assessment: downloads the test as a .docx file for printing.

  • Answer sheets: it downloads a .pdf with one answer sheet per student (each sheet is already labeled with the student’s name). Every sheet has a unique QR code that serves as an individual identifier for recording responses.

  • Answer key: downloads a .docx file containing the correct alternative (multiple-choice) or response (open-ended) and the explanation.

⚠️ Answer sheets are generated only for students enrolled in the class; each sheet is identified and individualized.
