How to Create Assessments in Teachy

Learn to Create Custom Assessments in Teachy: Choose formats, adjust difficulty levels, and add questions with ease!

Creating an assessment in Teachy is quick and fully customizable to meet your classroom needs.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to designing an assessment that effectively assesses your students' learning.

Step 1: Access the Assessment Creation Tool

On Teachy’s home page, click the "Create Assignments" button.

Step 2: Choose the Exam Type

A new screen will appear, allowing you to select from different types of assessments, such as Assessment or Essay.

After selecting Assessment, follow the next step:

Step 3: Configure Your Automatic Assessment

  • Select the Subject: Choose the subject covered in the assessment.

  • Define the Topic: Select the content by searching by name, grade level, or code.

  • Number of Questions & Difficulty: Specify how many questions you want and select the difficulty level (Easy, Medium, Hard).

  • Question Type: Choose between multiple-choice or open-ended questions.

  • Question Sources: Select questions from official exams, Teachy’s original database, or questions created by other teachers.

Step 4: Create the Assessment

After adjusting the settings, click "Create assignment". Teachy will generate your assessment based on the specifications provided.

Step 5: Review and Customize

  • Review the Generated Questions: You can modify or delete any question using the three dots next to each one.

  • Adjust Question Weight: Set how many points each question is worth using the selector next to it.

  • Add More Questions: Click "Add Question" to search for ready-made questions, create one from scratch, or generate a new one using AI.

Step 6: Finalize and Distribute

When you're happy with the assessment, click "Save".

You will have the option to save it in a new lesson or an existing one.

That's it! With these steps, you now have a ready-to-use assessment to challenge your students and effectively evaluate their learning.
