The Calendar block is one of the most powerful blocks in the entire TeamBridge library. It allows you to visualize your workforce's coverage, activity and allocation in real time using a combination of view settings and filters.

A few of the view settings covered in this article:

  • Color Coding

  • Column Show/Hide

  • Filters

  • Show All Users

  • Show Time Offs

Color Coding

Color Coding is a simple toggle that you can find on the top of the calendar in the view settings bar. Here you can decide what element of the shift defines the color of the shift on your calendar. At the moment you can choose between the Location, the Role/Qualification, or the Status of the shift.

Shift status colors are as follows:

  • Grey: Draft

    • Staff cannot by default see draft shifts in their mobile apps). You can change a shift to published or publish all shifts in a date range to make them visible.

  • Light Blue: Upcoming

    • Upcoming shifts are published shifts with a start date after the current time.

  • Green: Ongoing

    • A clock in time has been recorded, but no clock out time

  • Red: Late

    • The start time of the shift has passed but no clock in time has been recorded

  • Light Green: Completed

    • A clock in and out time has been recorded

  • Light Red: No Show

    • The end time of the shift has passed and no clock in or out time was recorded

We are looking to allow users to color code by even more data sources so stay tuned!

Columns

Like on normal Data Source table blocks you can also hide and show columns on the calendar. As there is no table to look at on the Schedule block this feature behaves a little differently. Instead of hiding the columns on the table, this instead allows you to select which tags show up in the shift as seen below.

Filters

Filters allow you to focus a Schedule block on a particular group of shifts or users. Here you can filter by location, by role, even by customizable tags on filters that you may use to track unique shift types.

Filters on the calendar behave identical to filters on tables. To learn more about filters check out our filters article.

Show All Users

If you notice certain users not showing in the schedule view it may be because the view settings are filtering them out. Be sure to check the filters as well as the Show All Users button which is located in the more menu next to the Publish All button. The more menu is the small "...". Click on it to see the additional menu items for that block.

Turning on Show all User will show all users that you have access to, and apply to the filters selected. Turning it off, will only show the users that have shifts in the filters, and time period you are viewing.

Show Time Offs

If you have approved time offs they will also show on the calendar on the first day of the approved time. To see these Time Off blocks on the calendar, simply click Show Time offs from the more menu and they will show.
