Goal weights let you assign different levels of importance to each goal. Instead of treating all goals equally, you can prioritize the ones that matter most. This ensures a more accurate evaluation of progress during performance reviews and helps identify areas that need improvement.

To use this feature, you need to activate it from the Teamflect Admin Center. Once it is enabled, you can edit the weight of goals under the "My Goals" tab. If you want to re-determine the goal weights for another user, you can search for them in the user search section and make the arrangements in the section where the goals are on the user page.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Enable Goal Weights in Overall Progress

To enable the goal weights in overall progress, click on the "Admin Center" button in the left-side menu of Teamflect.

Find "Modules" on the left navigation bar and click the "Goals" tab.

Here you can see the "Enable goal weights in overall progress” button. If you turn this button on, Teamflect admins can edit the goal weights.

Additionally, if you activate the 'Goal owners can adjust their goal weights' option, goal owners and their respective managers may have the ability to assign personalized weights to their respective goals. Click here to learn more.

After activating this feature, open the Teamflect application and go to the "Goals" module. Click on the "My Goals" tab.

First, choose a time period (Q2, H1, etc.), and then you can see the "Set/edit goal weights" button under the overall progress section. You can edit the weights of the goals by clicking this button.

First, choose a period, and then choose "Calculation Type."

Goal Progress Calculation Types:

  1. Distribute Weights Equally – Assigns equal weight to each goal.

  2. Set Custom Weights – Lets you manually assign weights based on priority.

  • Save your changes by clicking Submit.

  • You'll start seeing these weights on your Goals dashboard as well.

Note: People managers can also edit their direct reports' goal weights. Click here to learn how to do that in a few steps.
