As an HR professional, you may need to adjust review templates while a cycle is already in progress — for example, to update questions, add sections, or refine visibility rules. Teamflect allows you to apply these changes seamlessly to ongoing cycles.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Accessing the Admin Center

Navigate to your Admin Center. This is where you'll find all the tools and settings.

  2. Locating Existing Cycles

In the Admin Center, head to the Reviews module. Here, you'll find the "Review Cycles" section. Click on it to proceed.

  3. Selecting the Desired Cycle:

Find the cycle you want to update and click Edit.

  4. Reflecting Changes:

Click Reflect changes to apply updates from the edited template to the selected ongoing cycle.

  5. Reviewing Changes:

Before confirming, check the overview of all applied changes to ensure they align with your objectives.

  6. Confirming Changes:

If everything looks correct, confirm the prompt. The system will update the ongoing cycle accordingly.

This comprehensive guide equips you with the knowledge and steps necessary to streamline the process of updating review templates for ongoing review cycles effectively. Should you have any further questions or require assistance, our dedicated support team is always available to help.

Editing questions mid-cycle may lead to data loss if the question has already been answered by some review participants. Always review the potential impact before applying changes.

📌Note: Changes made to the 360-degree feedback section of a review template cannot be applied to ongoing cycles. If you need to update the 360-degree feedback questions or settings, these changes will only take effect in newly created review cycles.

Use Cases

  1. Adapting to Policy Updates
Mid-cycle changes let HR adjust reviews when company policies or evaluation frameworks change.

  2. Improving Question Clarity
If feedback indicates certain questions are unclear, you can update them during the cycle to avoid confusion.

  3. Aligning with Business Priorities
Adjust reviews to reflect shifting organizational goals, such as adding new competency areas or KPIs.

Best Practice

  • Use template changes sparingly during active cycles to maintain consistency.

  • Communicate updates to managers and employees so they understand why questions or sections may look different.

  • Document changes for audit and compliance purposes, especially if reviews tie into compensation or promotions.
