The top of the Org Chart page has a menu bar containing the following features: View, Visualize, Highlight, Filter headcount status, and additional settings. This article will cover each feature's usability in depth.
Note: Depending on your permissions in TeamOhana, you may not have access to all of these features and/or will only be able to utilize these features on your own team, rather than on the entire organization.
β
View
The default structure of your Org Chart will show your entire organization, including current employees and proposed and approved new headcount. The "View" feature allows you to zero in on either current employees or headcount only. It also enables you to view your organization by job function, so you can have an unbiased perspective on your org design.
View: Current Employees removes all headcount from your Org Chart so that you have an employee-only view. This feature is best utilized when you want a butts-in-seats-only view of your company.
View: Headcounts will adjust your Org Chart to a Kanban-like board, showing your Proposed, In Approval, and Approved/Pending Changes headcount. Headcount in this view is labeled with its color-coded division/department, and each card can be clicked to open a drawer to learn more about the role.
View: Job Function will remove personally identifiable information from each employee card so that only title, start date, division/department, and number of direct and indirect reports remain. This view becomes especially powerful when combined with the Visualize and Highlight features, as it enables you to perform unbiased analyses on your organization.
β
Visualize
The "Visualize" feature allows you to group your organization by different features, such as department, employee type, and headcount status.
Visualize: Org hierarchy is the default structure of your Org Chart, showing your company leader (or whomever sits at the top of the hierarchical structure) and each of their direct reports. If you manipulate the org structure using the other visualization options, Visualize: Org hierarchy should be used to reset the structure to the default.
Visualize: Department will organize your company into columns representing each department. This view will contain both current employees and pending/approved headcount. Each department can be seen by scrolling to the right on the screen.
Visualize: Division is similar to Visualize: Department, except there will be fewer columns as Divisions contain multiple departments. The different departments within the divisions will be distinct from one another via color coding.
Visualize: Employee Type groups your company's employees by their employment type (full time, part time, contractor, intern, etc.) As with the other visualizations, departments are distinguishable by color.
Visualize: Initiative groups your employees and headcount by the initiatives that they have been assigned to, if any, in TeamOhana. Anyone not assigned to an initiative will be grouped into a column titled "Unassigned." For help creating and updating your initiatives, feel free to reach out to your TeamOhana CSM.
Visualize: Team groups your employees and headcount by the teams that they have been assigned to, if any, in TeamOhana. Anyone not assigned to an team will be grouped into a column titled "Unassigned." For help creating and updating your teams, feel free to reach out to your TeamOhana CSM.
Visualize: Headcount Status works in the same way as the "View: Headcounts" feature and will adjust your Org Chart to a Kanban-esque board, showing your Proposed, In Approval, and Approved/Pending Changes headcount. Headcount in this view is labeled with its color-coded division/department.

Additional Settings
Finally, the Org Chart also gives you the option to view terminated employees and to view employees without a reporting manager.
View terminated employees
When "view terminated employees" is selected, you'll be able to see where in the organization those employees sat before their terminations. Clicking their employee cards in the Org Chart opens the drawer on the right side of the page where you can view all of their previous employment information.
View employees without a reporting manager
When "view employees without a reporting manager" is selected, a column on the right side of the screen will appear with a list of the employees/headcount missing their reporting manager. Each card will contain all of the other relevant information about the person (name, title, division/department, etc). If the person missing their reporting manager is a current employee, their reporting manager will need to be added via the HRIS. If it's a headcount, you can click the card, then click "Edit" to add the reporting manager.
