TeamOhana has launched an AI Copilot to get you answers to your headcount- and employee-related questions in an instant.

Access to the Copilot is permissions-based, and all users with the permission enabled will see a Copilot icon on their main menu bar.

Depending on from which module the user accesses the Copilot, there will be different suggested questions, for example:

  • If accessed from the Hiring plan, the suggested questions will be around new hires vs. backfills, the number of in-progress headcount, or past due headcount

  • If accessed from the Org chart, the suggested questions will be around span of control, average employee tenure, and the gender makeup of each team

  • Note: the only exceptions to this logic will be if the Copilot is opened from the Scenarios module or the Settings page. In those cases, it will show suggested a mixed set of questions that span insights across all modules

The responses that each user gets will be dependent on their permissions and attribute-based access.

The history of the user’s conversation with the Copilot will be retained in the chat window unless the user logs out / logs back in or if 24 hours have elapsed without any new questions being asked.

There is no specific format in which questions can be asked. For example, 'How many starting employees this year?' or 'What is the count of starting employees this year?' will return the same result.

Users can also ask two questions at once, for example: 'Which employees were terminated this year, and what were each of their termination dates?”

Once a question is asked there are follow up questions suggested depending on the question being asked.

If the user is not able to get the desired answer on their first try, they can try asking the question in a different way, or try adding more details to the question.

  • Example: “How many people are we hiring?” can be further specified to “How many people are we hiring in 2024?”

Note that in its beta release, the Copilot will not be able to answer questions related to change (eg “how has our average span of control changed in the last 2 years”) or historical data (“what was our attrition rate 5 years ago?”).

The data in the Copilot’s responses can be downloaded as a CSV, or copied as rich text to be pasted into emails, documents, notes, etc.

There is a daily limit on the Copilot of 150 questions per user. When the limit is reached, the Copilot will show the following message: “Apologies for any inconvenience, but it appears you’ve reached the daily limit for questions. Please don’t hesitate to return tomorrow if you have more inquiries or need further assistance.” The quota refreshes every 24 hours.
