What is the coverage bar?
You can find your coverage bar in the daily activity schedule. The coverage bar lets you track how well-staffed you are across your different channels, every hour of every day.
The coverage bar compares your actual staffing to your desired staffing. The colour of the bar will give you an indication of areas with low coverage that need attention.
How can I get a coverage bar?
The coverage bar is generated by your Activity Plans; where you set which activities you want to be scheduled when, and how many surfers you need to be online.
If you don't see a coverage bar it will be because you haven't created and/or applied an activity plan to your schedule yet.
Where are the numbers coming from?
The numbers shown in the coverage bar will change depending on the view you have turned on. The bar has 2 viewing options:
Activity Plan: this will compare your actual coverage to the desired coverage you entered when you created the activity rule in your activity plan
Forecasted: this will compare your actual coverage to the required coverage according to the forecast for the linked ticket group. You can read more about how to assign a ticket group to an activity here.
The actual coverage, i.e. the 2 in the 2/4 in this example, counts how many surfers are actually scheduled on this activity. This number will update anytime an edit or change to the schedule is made. So if you edit a surfer's schedule or a synced calendar event comes in, you'll always see the most up to date data.
How do I see my forecasted coverage?
As well as on your forecast page, you can check your forecasted coverage at any time by flipping the forecast toggle on your coverage bar.
What happens if I have more than one activity plan?
If you've applied more than one activity plan to the same day, for example, one for your frontline team and one for your specialist team, then you'll see the rainbow coverage bar π
The coverage for any activities that are shared across both plans will be combined to give you a cumulative overview of your coverage.
Can I filter or hide the coverage bar?
Yes, you can filter and hide parts of the coverage bar by tapping on the ποΈ icon to the left of the label. You'll then see a menu where you can show and hide rows from your coverage bar.
If you've applied more than one activity plan to the same day, you can hide whole plans too.
