Learn the causes and how to fix it

Causes

For HRIS systems:

Many HRIS systems were not designed for shift workers. As a result, they may sometimes miss specific start or end times of time off bookings. e.g. a 'half day' may not specify if it's am/pm or which hours that entails.

In these cases, bookings will often show as 'all day' in Dialpad WFM. Unfortunately, this is not something we can fix. We recommend editing the time off blocks to reflect the correct times (see guide below).

For Google Calendar (Gcal):

Dialpad WFM will use the timezone you assigned to the Google Calendar to place bookings in the schedule. If agents added time off in their own timezone, which is different to the calendar, then it may appear incorrectly.

If this is the case, let our team know and we can enable a setting to match time off bookings to the agent's timezone instead.

How to edit time off

If a time off booking is showing incorrectly in the schedule then you can edit it to show the correct time.

For single day bookings, you can either set the event to 'all day' (24hrs), or to set specific start and end times. You can also change the 'type' of time off to be 🌴 Vacation, πŸ€’ Sick or πŸ• Time off.

For multi-day bookings, you can change the start day and time and end day time. You can also change the 'type' of time off to be 🌴 Vacation, πŸ€’ Sick or πŸ• Time off. This edit will affect all blocks related to the booking.

How to delete time off

If you want to remove a time off block completely, then click on the time off block in the schedule and click the delete button in the modal.
