How Expiry Dates Work
Expiry events appear on the calendar in red.
They are linked to a single date (e.g. your Tax expiry date).
When a new expiry is added (after renewal), the calendar updates to show only the new date.
Where to Manage Expiry Dates
From the asset’s Dates tab → under Expiry Dates.
From the calendar → by adding a new expiry event or editing the existing one.
Good to Know
There is no history kept of previous expiry dates—only the latest date shows.
Expiry dates always display as an all-day event with no start/end time.
MOT Expiry Dates
MOT expiry dates are added and updated automatically through an external data source using an API.
This means:
You do not need to manually add MOT expiry dates
When a vehicle’s MOT is renewed, the expiry date updates automatically
Only the most recent MOT expiry date is shown
If you would like more information about where MOT expiry data is sourced from and why discrepancies can sometimes occur.
