Field dashboard

Dashboards provide a complete overview and manageability of a growing entity. From the dashboard, a user can navigate to Farms, Fields, and Plantings which offer the same dashboard functionality. Below is a complete guide to the Field Dashboard.

Features within your Field Dashboard

Main

  1. The Main section provides information on the Field Name, Code, Size, Mapped size, Section, Lat/Lon, County, and Location.

    • Selecting a Season filter, the plantings displayed in the bottom section of the Field dashboard.

Field Map

  1. The Field map displays the boundary of the field. There is also a drop-down box that allows users to view historical boundaries or restore a historical boundary.

Current Plantings

  1. Current plantings show a list view of the commodity, size, season, and date planted for each planting within the selected season.

    A. Add planting -use this option to add a planting from the Field dashboard.

Soils, Water and Irrigation

1. When creating a new planting additional information can be entered in the Advanced tab. Below is an example of how the data will look on the Field dashboard.

Files

  1. Store electronic copies of files, pictures, excels, etc at the Field dashboard level.

    A. Uploaded File - Click anywhere in the line item to view an uploaded file.

    B. 'Add a File' - Upload a document or picture to store.

    C. Trashcan - Remove an uploaded file.

Notes

  1. The notes feature allows users to add notes specifically at the Field level. This tool will allow others who are within your secure network to view these notes as well.

    A. Note - Click anywhere in the line item to view the note.

    B. 'Add a Note' - Add a new note. To edit or delete a note, click on it and then the note will pop up in a window. Edit the text and click 'Save' or to delete click 'Delete'.

Tags

  1. Tags are a way to label a Grower, Farm, Field, or Planting and then search by that "Tag" from the List or Map View. For example, if you wanted to see which Growers are "Todd's Growers" then you would create a Tag called "Todd's Growers" and append that tag at the Grower level to each Grower that belongs to Todd. Then you can search for that tag in the List or Map view and it would return a list of Todd's Growers.

Last Modified

  1. The last modified tab shows the Name, Date, and Time the record was modified as a reference.

Change History

  1. The change history feature allows you to view a complete list of changes made to the field record. Information will include the user who made the change, the date/time of the change, and a description of what change was made.

Other Options

There are multiple options along the bottom of the screen as well.

A. Print Map - generates a map of all fields within the selected farm. By selecting the up arrow and then selecting Print field map, the map can be customized with colors and labels.

B. Edit - use this option to edit a field.

C. Export to Shapefile - generates a shapefile of the field boundary.

D. Export to CSV - generates a file containing the information shown on the field dashboard.
