Notifications

Written by Cheryl Evans

The Notifications feature allows you to receive an email or text message when certain processes take place. Today, notifications are available for Logged Data Harvest events, Trap Counting, Field Samples, and Imagery.

  1. To set up a notification alert, navigate to Setup > Notifications.

  2. Select 'New Notification' in the lower right corner.

3. In the new window that displays, complete the following information.

A. Name - Create a name for your notification. It is recommended you specify what type of notification is in the name (Logged Data, Trap Counting, etc)

B. Frequency - Select how often a notification should be sent. Options include Weekly, Daily, or Live Updates. (Weekly updates are currently processed every Sunday)

C. Enabled - If a notification is "enabled", then it is active. If notifications are season sensitive, mark them as enabled only when needed.

D. Time - Select a specific time of day for Weekly and Daily updates.

E. Notification Types - There are several options to choose from Harvest Completed, Harvest Started, Trap Service Interval, Trap Action Required, Trap Threshold Exceeded, Sample Event Created Without Results, Sample Event Created with Results, Sample Results Submitted by Lab, and Imagery Availability.

F. Locations - Select which organization or specific grower to receive notifications from. For example, if you want to know each time a harvest event is completed for only a specific grower, specify that here.

G. Recipients - Options include "Add User as a Recipient" or adding "Other Recipient". Selecting Add User will apply to only others who have an TELUS Agronomy account and the email that is used to log in will be the option to send the notification to. If a phone number is provided, the option for text may be used. The "Other Recipient" can be used if the recipient does not have a TELUS Agronomy login. For this option, both email and/or text may be used.

4. Additionally, imagery notifications can be filtered by specific types of imagery.

5. After saving the Notification, an email or text will be sent once the parameters of the notification are met.

💡Notifications that contain thumbnails such as harvest and imagery notifications will expire after 7 days.
