Merge Lab Data (CSV) to Points
Sometimes you need to upload sample data to existing points, like when a lab sends you soil test results that they didn't submit via MODUS format. This page highlights the steps necessary to merge CSV data to previously created points.

Merge Results
Click on the name of the desired sample event.
Click 'View Dashboard'.
Click the arrow next to the 'Report' button.
Click 'Merge Results'.
Click 'Main' in the upper center of the window and make sure all info is correct.
If not already selected, you will be prompted to enter depth and other information. You may enter one depth or multiple depths.
7. Click 'Lab' in the upper center of the window and check that your lab info is correct.
8. Click 'Select A File From Your Computer', and do just that or drop the CSV file into the window.
9. Create a new template by matching file nutrients with the column headers from the CSV or choose an existing template.
A. Make sure all elements are present, and, if not, click 'Add Element' in the upper right of the template window.
Choose the correct representation of the nutrient from the drop down under the 'File Nutrient' column in the template window, then the matching nutrient in the 'System Nutrient' column.
B. Make sure all units are correct.
C. Also, pay special attention to the column header for the sample numbers. Most times it is also called ID and matches the default selection for sample ID in TELUS Agronomy, but some labs call the sample ID different things like 'Grid' or 'Sample ID', which you'll have to select from the drop down seen below.
This is also a good place to see if there are any nutrients that didn't get picked up from the original file. For example, sometimes P or pH or Base Saturation don't always get picked out.
D. Select the correct value type
Calculated - Any value that is derived from values measured by a laboratory test.
Measured - Any value that is directly measured by a laboratory test.
Index - Any index that is calculated from values measured by a laboratory test.
10. Click 'Apply'.
11. Review the window after clicking 'Apply' to check that all elements are present.
12. Click 'Save'. Now results will be attached to the sample points.
Preview or Delete Templates
When uploading soil samples, it can get confusing which template to choose if there are many choices. This option allows you to preview templates and delete irrelevant ones.
When uploading a file, once on the section where a template is chosen, click 'List Template'.
A list of available templates populates.
The list icon allows for a preview of the template.
Clicking the trash can will prompt to delete the template.
Merge a CSV with Multiple Depths
Merge Results
Click on the name of the desired sample event.
Click 'View Dashboard'.
Click the arrow next to the 'Report' button.
Click 'Merge Results'.
5. You will be prompted to enter depth and other information. This is where you will add your other depths.
6. Next, you will be prompted to choose your lab and sample package.
7. You may now select the file from your computer or drag and drop the file into the window.
It is important to remember that you must have a depth column in your CSV
8. Create a new template by matching file nutrients with the column headers from the CSV or choose an existing template.
9. When adding the second depth you will want to click Add Element in the upper right corner of the window.

10. Once everything is mapped correctly you can then click "Apply"
