How to Verify TopCon X20 Unit
Prior to loading GDX files into TELUS Agronomy the units can be verified. To verify the units follow the process below.
Open the GDX file. The GDX file can be loaded into any Text editor. For example, Note Pad.
After open you will see the Layers listed 'LAYER:'.
This will show the product name and at the end shows the applied unit.
To change the unit:
A. Example, if it shows “kg” and the units were actually pounds. The user would change the “kg” to “lbs”. The Applied rate units would now be lbs.
Before: LAYER: 1 “Tk1Str” “SeedRate” “1” TK1Str” “Weight” “kg”
After: LAYER: 1 “Tk1Str” “SeedRate” “1” TK1Str” “Weight” “lbs”
B. Example, if it shows “kg” and the units were actually Gallons. The user would change the kg to gal. The Applied rate units would now be gal.
Before: LAYER: 5 “VR UAN” “SeedRate” “5” VR UAN” “Weight” “kg”
After: LAYER: 5 “VR UAN” “SeedRate” “5” VR UAN” “Weight” “gal”
4. If a change has been made be sure to Save the GDX.
5. Load the GDX into TELUS Agronomy through the Uploader located under.
A. Field Data > Logged Data > Logged Data Uploader
