Welcome to your step-by-step guide for migrating your Sites and activity data over to TELUS Crop Management.
This guide covers everything included in the migration process and how to initiate the request as a grower.
⚠️ Important Information Before You Begin
Before initiating any data transfer, you must first log into your TELUS Crop Management account to set up your profile, select your region and confirm that you are importing from TELUS Farm Management Grower, as shown in the steps below.
Once a site has been migrated it will become read-only in TELUS Farm Management. Please be sure you are ready to migrate as this migration transfer cannot be re-run. Ensure all activities, records and data in TELUS Farm Management are updated and finalised and all required/expected Plans are applied before starting.
The migration process allows you to select up to 10 seasons of historical data to bring across to your new account.
Migrating One Site at a Time - Data is transferred on a site-by-site basis. You can migrate one site now and migrate additional sites later as needed.
What Is Included:
Site - Including address, region, country and postcode.
Crops & Fields - Field and crop details are included.
⚠️ Please note: Field boundaries are not included and will not transfer.

Phase 1 - Initiating the migration of your data

2. On the TELUS Crop Management welcome screen and select TELUS Farm Management Grower from the options then click Next.
Once you have read through the confirmation window, click Done.
3. In a new Tab, open up your TELUS Farm Management software and log in using your existing credentials and click on Subscription in the top right corner -
4. Select the Transfer Sites tab and click Login on the right hand side -
A pop-up will show allowing you to login with your TELUS Crop Management credentials, after which you will be returned to the migration window -
5. Select the site you want to transfer by clicking the button under the Migrate column (you can use the search box to filter longer lists). Once chosen, confirm the following options under each heading -
- Seasons to Migrate (Max of 10 seasons)
- Include Next Season (Tick box if required)
- Include Activities (Tick box if required)
Click Next when complete.
6. Step 3 allows you to match your crops between the two systems. If a crop hasn't been automatically matched by the system it will show as Unspecified.
⚠️ Please note: Any crops not matched will not migrate and, as such, any activities specific to them will also not migrate.
You can click on Unlinked to hide already matched crops and focus only on the entries that still need attention. Once filtered you can click in the crop textbox and start typing to select the required crop from a dropdown list.
Click Next once everything matches correctly.
7. Should you have any issues with your data to migrate, the pre-migration report will note comment text exceeding TELUS Crop Management character limits, flag duplicate field names and highlight any further issues with your data such as holding numbers (if added) or regions.
To accept suggested changes you can click Next to automatically truncate long text and accept suggested name changes for duplicate fields.
To manually fix records you can click the Back button open a separate tab to update any details required in TELUS Farm Management before returning to the migration tab to finish the migration process.
When you are happy with the data, click Next to continue.
8. Read through the disclaimer/notes, tick the confirmation box and then click Transfer to begin the migration of your fields, crops, inspections and activity data.
⚠️ Please Note: Processing times vary depending on data volume. Do not close this window until a final message confirms that the transfer has successfully completed.
9. Once completed, you will see the below message, confirming your successful site migration -
Should you wish, the option to import anther site is available on the right hand side, otherwise you can now safely close the tab and return to your TELUS Crop Management dashboard to continue the migration process.
The option to open TELUS Crop Management in a new tab is available on the right hand side throughout the Migration process
Phase 2 - Accepting the Data Migration into TELUS Crop Management
1. On logging back into your TELUS Crop Management account you should see a number against the Notification Bell, in the top right.
Click on it and then select the Migration Status option to open the Migration Status window.
Here you can confirm the businesses that you wish to import into your account or alternatively reject them.
2. Click the Approve button to start the import. The import process will now begin step by step, you will see this complete through the progress bar and if successful the section will show as Complete.
3. If any anomalies arise the import will pause at the relevant section and you will be presented with data that will need further clarification/amendment. Here we will be covering anomalies within the Products section. This will only apply if completed operations have been chosen to be exported.
4. Any Adjuvant that are not truly Adjuvants' will appear here. If your product isn't listed under the current category, select Product not found to assign it to other, it will the create the Product in TELUS Crop Management. For example, Adjuvants like wetters and water softeners, previously categorised under Adjuvants, are now classified under Other.
5. TELUS Crop Management requires fertilisers to have nutrient analysis entered against the product, where a product contains no analysis it will be displayed here for you to correct by either searching for the product, if you can find it, it will add the analysis automatically. If not, select Product not found from the Product dropdown box. Your input here is dependant on the Type that you select as follows:
Fertiliser - your product has not been found in the list of fertilisers we hold, but it is a fertiliser from your perspective then select fertiliser, you will have to input your own analysis as that is a requirement.
Other - Does not deliver any nutritional benefit therefore no further information/analysis is required.
Trace Element - Analysis then becomes optional and there is no mandatory requirement to record this information.
6. TELUS Crop Management uses variety name based on the Crop Definitions List. Where we are unable to match a seed name to a unique crop please select the most relevant from the options presented.
💡If your seed name is for a different land use such as a Cover or Trap Crop, Game Cover, Grass or Stewardship Scheme then please link this Seed & Plant to the Crop Unspecified and the Variety to Crop not found and your original seed product will be migrated unchanged.
You may also add optional enhanced information such as seed dressings by clicking the Seed Dressing button and whether the seed was farm saved by ticking the Farm saved seed tickbox.
7. Once you are happy the products have been reviewed/corrected click confirm to continue and create the operation jobs. Once all the sections are completed the Migration Audit Report will then be available. Click the Migration Audit Report button to open it
TELUS Crop Management has a more streamlined and reduced selection of product headings, this means that during the migration of your data some products will have been moved from their previous heading to a TELUS Crop Management appropriate one. The report will show you a list of your products that have had changes made to them. Check you are happy with this content before proceeding.
8. Finally click Continue to complete and close the migration status window and start using TELUS Crop Management.
If for any reason the migration has not been successful, then please contact support and they will assist you in resolving this issue.
