TELUS Food Safety & Quality Administration: Supplier and Stock Code Management
Overview
With TELUS Food Safety & Quality (TFSQ), there are more options under lookups that will be used, such as location administration, grower administration, supplier administration, and stock code administration.
For this guide, we're focusing on supplier and stock code administration.
Supplier Administration
Customer supplier names are usually featured in TFSQ checks header information. In addition to this, the reporting suite of TFSQ Office provides a number of reports that focus exclusively on suppliers.
Therefore, TELUS recommends all customers maintain this feature.
Adding a Supplier
The process to follow is consistent with a number of other functions in the system. The only mandatory data field is the supplier name. However, you can also include their code, email address, and country of origin if required.
When all relevant information is added, select Save.
Your supplier will now be available to select when performing a TFSQ check.
Stock Code Administration
Stock Code Administration is used to store details of the products customers use and need to undertake TFSQ checks on.
Using this part of the system allows you to add the product details, which you can then use to target to specific assessments.
Getting Started
New customers may find that no stock codes exist within their subscription unless TELUS created them during configuration.
Any stock codes that exist will be displayed in the box at the top of the screen.
Managing Multiple Products
As customers could have in excess of 100 different products, it might be difficult to trace a specific one. To make this easier, you can filter the list.
This can be done by choosing a stock code subgroup from the dropdown list at the top.
Editing and Deleting Stock Codes
Having located the specific stock code, you can choose to edit or delete. The edit button is in the first column, so it's always visible, while delete is the column at the far right, which might mean scrolling to select it.
Adding or Editing Stock Codes
Adding or editing a stock code is undertaken beneath the table, and there are various pieces of data you can provide.
Key fields customers use:
Stock Type: Such as raw material product
Stock Code: Customers usually have lists of individual products and have codes associated to each. If they do not, they might use the SKU
Description: This is the name a customer gives to the stock code and is used when targeting a product to an assessment. This should be easy to understand, so it's likely to be called the actual name, such as "Apple, Granny Smith"
Stock Code Area, Stock Code Group, and Stock Code Subgroup: These three are all linked and help you filter down to the specific product type
When all of the required data is entered, select Save and the new stock code will be added to your list.
