The Purpose of this Document?

To Help guide a user through the process of adding guidance to an assessment question within Telus Food Safety & Quality.

Why might this be needed?

QC mobile users may need assistance during their quality checks.

How do I add Guidance?

Firstly, one needs to have the appropriate permissions to do so. Normally, Telus Agriculture will have a list of users for the clients in question that should be able to administrate the Guidance within QC, however, Telus Agriculture does also have a support team that should be able to access the administration for guidance within QC.

Once you have ensured that the right parties have the correct permissions; For adding new guidance, the following steps should be taken.

  1. Enter the Telus Food Safety & Quality system

  2. Open the "Lookups" drop down menu

  3. Click on "Guidance Administration"

  4. Scroll down the page, to find the new guidance detail boxes

  5. If adding a new piece of guidance, this will need a description/title first and foremost - this should be easy to understand and identify, to be able to associate it with questions with little issue

  6. If adding the new guidance, the guidance text can be used to describe what needs to be done. This text box can contain a url, or via attaching an image. If attaching an image, this needs to be saved to your local computer, then uploaded via the "choose file" button being clicked, and then selecting the relevant file in the file-explorer pop-up window

  7. Once the appropriate details, attachments and URLs have been entered, the guidance can be saved, via the "save" button.

This will now have added your new guidance to the system for selection and association against Telus Food Safety & Quality questions.

If there are any further issues, please contact a Telus Food Safety & Quality support agent, and we will endeavour to assist.
