You can now use QC2 without being connected to the internet. This will allow you to keep completing checks when you are offline, and then sync them at a later stage.

Important information

  • You must have logged into the app on the device you want to use offline within the last 30 days in order to use the offline functionality. This limit can be changed so if you would like to amend this for your company please contact us to discuss this.

  • As mentioned above, this is device specific - so if you have logged into one device previously but have never used another one, you will only be able to use the offline functionality on that one device.

  • The sync button will not be visible when using the app offline, this is because you can not sync until you are back online.

  • When you are ready to use online functionality like synchronising your checks, you will need to log out and back in to the app as it will not reconnect automatically.

If you are not connected to the internet, you will see this message when you open the QC2 app on your device:

Once you have logged into the app, the other change you will notice is no sync button present as shown below: -

This is because if you are offline all you will be able to do is complete the checks, and syncing will need to wait until you are back online.

Once you are ready to sync the checks, you will need to ensure these have all been saved, then log out of the app. You can then proceed to logging back into the app now you are connect to internet again.

Upon logging in you will notice the sync button is back indicating you are now back online, this means you can sync the checks you previously completed offline.

We always recommend syncing regularly to avoid a large build up of unsynced data on the device, so please ensure you sync whenever you can connect back to wifi.
