Overview
If you are a current tenant and are nearing the end of your lease terms, your property manager may send you a lease renewal offer to extend your lease agreement. If that's the case, here's how you would accept or decline the lease renewal offer.
The Steps
Step 1 - Receiving the Renewal Offer
When it's time to renew your lease, your property manager may send you a lease renewal offer to review. This would come in the form of an email notification first letting you know when your lease is set to expire and how long you have to review your lease renewal offer. This email will also show you the options you have to choose from for you lease renewal offer. Your next step here is to click the "Respond via Tenant Portal" button and review the offers from your tenant portal.
Step 2 - Review Your Renewal Offers
Once you are on your tenant portal, you'll see all your Renewal Offers on your homepage. Depending on how many offers there are, you'll see between 1 and 3 renewal offers. Evaluate each carefully and once you have decided which renewal offer to accept, click Accept Offer.
Step 3 - Wait
After you've accepted your renewal offer, you'll need to wait now for the property manager to move on to the next step. They may send you a new contract to sign electronically or in person.
