Updated over 12 months ago

Overview

Never miss rent-related events or messages from your property manager by utilizing DoorLoop's built-in notifications. Control which notifications you receive and how you receive them. Push notifications are also available so you'll be able to get notifications through the mobile app and desktop app.

The Steps

Setting up tenant portal notifications on a computer

  1. On the main overview page of your Tenant Portal, click the Bell Icon at the upper right-hand corner. A new notifications panel will now appear. This is where you will now be able to see all your important notifications.

Access DoorLoop via Mobile Web Browser

You can also access DoorLoop using your mobile phone's default web browser (although we recommend Chrome). This is useful for those who may not be able to download the DoorLoop app or don't have access to a computer. You can access your portal with this link: https://app.doorloop.com/auth/login. The mobile web version will function pretty much the same as the full desktop version, just optimized for your phone's size.

Accessing your Tenant Portal this way may not show real-time notifications, but you will see them on the tenant portal.

Download the DoorLoop app for push notifications on your phone or tablet

DoorLoop app

The first thing you will want to do is download the DoorLoop app from your respective app stores. You can either search for the DoorLoop app from your device's app store or you can click these links: iOS and Android.

Once you download this, you'll want to follow these steps to enable push notifications.

DoorLoop app
  1. Find the DoorLoop app on your device and tap on it.

  2. Upon the first login, you will be prompted the following:

    • Android - "Allow DoorLoop to send you notifications?"

    • iOS - "DoorLoop Would like to send you notifications"

  3. Tap Allow to enable push notifications.

  4. In the DoorLoop app, click the Notification Bell icon at the top right corner.

  5. On the Notification Panel, click the Gear icon at the top right corner.

  6. Edit your Notification Settings and make sure Push Notifications is turned on for all notification types you want to receive via Push Notification.

That's it! This is how you enable Push Notifications on your smartphone or tablet. This is useful for those who want to stay on top of their lease.
