How to Edit or Delete Renters Insurance on the Tenant Portal

If you need to edit or delete your renters insurance policy on the tenant portal, here's how you would do that.

Overview

Most rentals require renters insurance and if you don't have it, DoorLoop now makes it simple to get it with our partner site, Lemonade. Of course, if you already have insurance, you can also enter it on the Tenant Portal to fulfill your insurance requirement. If you need to edit or delete an insurance policy after you've entered it into your tenant portal, follow the steps below.

The Steps

Edit Renters Insurance Policy

  1. To edit your renters insurance policy on the tenant portal, first log into your tenant portal. Then click the Menu button at the top left corner.

  2. Then select Insurance in the menu.

  3. You should now see a list of your current insurance policy along with any past ones you may have had. If you need to edit your current insurance for any reason, click the 3-dots and then select Edit Policy in the popup menu.

  4. On the Insurance Policy window, you'll be able to edit several fields:

    • Provider

    • Policy Number

    • Effective Date

    • Expiration Date

    • Liability Coverage

  5. Once you've edited the fields that need editing, click Save to finish.


Delete Renters Insurance Policy

  1. If you need to delete your renters insurance policy from your tenant portal, first log into your tenant portal. Then go to the Insurance section of your portal.

  2. Click the 3 dots next to the insurance policy you want to delete. A popup will appear. click Delete Policy.

  3. A Delete Confirmation message will appear. Click Delete to continue.

  4. Your renters insurance policy should now be deleted.
