1. Getting Started
1.1 Accepting Your Invitation
When your Tendro workspace is created, each user receives an email invitation containing a sign-up link.
Sender: The invitation email comes from a team.mail.tendro.com address (or similar).
Spam folders: The invitation might land in junk/spam due to corporate filtering. If you do not see the email in your inbox, check your spam folder.
Direct URL: Even without the email link, you can navigate to app.tendro.com and sign up using the email address the invitation was sent to.
1.2 Installing the Mobile App
The Tendro mobile app is used at events for badge and business-card scanning. It is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
If you can't find the App by searching, alternatively you can use this link:
Sign in to the app using the same email and password you set when accepting your platform invitation.
2. Team Members
The Team Members section is where you manage who has access to your workspace and what level of access they have.
The Team Members page lists Active Members and any Pending Invitations.
2.1 Member Roles
Each team member is assigned one of two roles:
Admin — Full management privileges, including the ability to invite and remove other members, create and edit events, and configure tags and integrations.
Member — Standard user. The exact capabilities depend on the access scopes assigned (see below).
2.2 Access Scopes
Independent of role, each member can be granted one or both of the following access scopes:
Platform Access — The user can sign in to the web platform at app.tendro.com to view leads, run exports, and manage workspace settings (subject to role).
Field Access — The user can sign in to the mobile app to scan badges and capture leads at events.
If a team member will only ever scan leads in person at events and does not need to view the dashboard, granting Field Access only is recommended.
2.3 Inviting a New User
1. From the left navigation, open Team Members.
2. Click Invite User in the top right.
3. Enter the user's email address.
4. Choose a Role (Admin or Member).
5. Select the appropriate Access Control scope(s): Platform Access, Field Access, or both.
6. Optionally include a Custom Message that will be appended to the invitation email.
7. Click Send Invitation.
The Invite team member dialog — Role and Access Control are set independently.
Heads up If a colleague reports they did not receive the invitation email, ask them to check spam. As a fallback, simply share the direct URL https://app.tendro.com/accounts/signup/ — they can sign up there using the same email the invitation was sent to.
3. Events
An Event in Tendro represents a single conference, trade show, or similar gathering. Leads captured at an event are associated with that event, and the mobile app filters which events a user can see based on the team assignments you configure.
3.1 Creating an Event
Tendro can auto-populate event details using AI. You enter just the event name and Tendro searches for the event's location, dates, website, and a description.
1. From the left navigation, open Events.
2. Click Create Event in the top right.
3. Type the event name. Common, well-known events are matched most reliably.
4. Click Next. Tendro will display "Finding details…" while it searches.
Create New Event — type the event name and click Next.
While AI is searching, you can choose Skip & Fill Manually if you prefer not to wait.
Once a match is found, the Event Details form is pre-populated with the event's location, start and end dates, website, logo URL, and a notes/description field. Review and edit anything that is wrong, then add your booth number (which Tendro cannot auto-detect).
Event Details after AI auto-fill — review, add your booth number, then create the event.
Tip Auto-population takes a few seconds. If you find yourself waiting, click Skip & Fill Manually and enter the details yourself. The same form is presented either way; auto-fill simply pre-fills it.
3.2 Editing an Event
After creation, you can edit any event from the Events list.
1. Click the three-dot menu (ellipsis) at the top right of the event card.
2. Choose Edit.
3. Update Details, Team assignments, or Field Mapping using the tabs at the top of the edit panel.
The Details tab of an event — edit name, location, dates, booth number, website, logo, CRM ID, and notes.
3.3 Assigning Team Members to an Event
By default, a newly created event has no team members assigned. You should explicitly assign the people from your team who will attend this event so that the event appears in their mobile app.
The Team tab of an event — add each user who will attend, so the event becomes visible in their mobile app.
Why this matters If a team member has not been added to an event, that event will not appear in their mobile app. This is intentional: it keeps each scanner's app uncluttered, showing only the events they are attending. If a scanner reports "I don't see the event," the first thing to check is whether they have been added on the Team tab.
3.4 The Events List
The Events list displays each upcoming event as a card showing the name, location, date range, booth number, a short description, attendee initials, and a lead count.
The Events list — each card summarises the event and links into its full detail page.
4. Mobile App & Lead Capture
The Tendro mobile app is the primary tool used on the show floor. Its core function is fast badge or business-card scanning, with everything else (enrichment, qualification, CRM sync) happening in the background.
4.1 My Events
Opening the app shows the My Events screen, separated into Upcoming and Past tabs. Once an event's end date passes, it automatically moves from Upcoming to Past so it no longer clutters the active view.
My Events on the mobile app — Upcoming and Past tabs keep the scanner's view focused.
Tap the event you are currently attending to open its scanning interface.
4.2 Scanning a Lead
From within an event, capture a lead by tapping the camera/scan button and taking a photo of a business card or attendee badge.
1. Open the event in the mobile app.
2. Tap the camera/scan button at the bottom center of the screen.
3. Take a photo of the business card, badge or even a piece of paper with their name and company.
4. The lead is added to the event immediately; Tendro then enriches it in the background.
Do not wait for enrichment Enrichment can take a number of seconds because Tendro queries multiple data sources to fill in as much detail as possible. You do not need to wait. As soon as the photo is captured, you can scan the next person. All enrichment continues automatically in the background while you keep moving down the booth line.
4.3 Lead Enrichment
After a scan, Tendro extracts contact information from the business card or badge image and then enriches it from multiple third-party enrichment providers. While this is in progress, the lead detail screen displays an "Enriching lead data…" banner.
A lead immediately after scanning — the orange banner indicates enrichment is in progress.
Once enrichment completes, additional fields populate automatically: current company, current job title, LinkedIn URL, and other firmographic data such as industry and company size.
The same lead after enrichment — company, job title, and LinkedIn have been updated with the current data Tendro found.
4.4 Editing a Lead in the Field
You can edit any field on a lead directly from the mobile app — useful if, for example, an attendee gives you a personal email that you want to replace with their work email, or if the scanned card was incomplete.
To edit, tap into any field on the lead detail screen and type your changes. There is no need to wait for enrichment to finish before editing.
If you manually edit a field (e.g. email) while enrichment is still running, manually edited fields won’t be updated after enrichment. The intent is that a user-entered value should be treated as authoritative; if you encounter a case where this does not appear to be working, contact support.
4.5 Deleting a Lead from the Mobile App
To delete a lead from inside the app: open the lead, tap the three-dot menu at the top right of the lead detail screen, and choose Delete.
5. Managing Leads on the Web Platform
The My Leads view on the web platform shows every lead captured across every event your account has access to. It is the primary tool for review, enrichment-detail inspection, and export.
5.1 My Leads View
My Leads displays each lead in a sortable, filterable table. Columns include Name, Event, Company, Job Title, Email, and other key fields. Use the filter bar at the top to narrow the list by name, email, or company, or filter by Event, User (the team member who captured the lead), or Score.
My Leads — clicking a row opens the detail panel on the right. The Delete confirmation dialog protects against accidental removal.
5.2 The Lead Detail Panel
Clicking a row in My Leads opens a side panel with the full lead record:
Contact Information — Full name, email, phone, LinkedIn.
Company Information — Company, job title, location, company size, industry.
Status & Tags — Qualification state (Pending / Qualified / Disqualified) and any custom tags applied.
Enrichment Data — Additional firmographic detail collected during enrichment. This includes Keywords (technology and topic signals about the lead's company, sourced from Apollo). Keywords are visible in the web detail panel but intentionally hidden in the mobile app to keep the scanning interface uncluttered.
Notes — Free-text notes captured at scan time or added later.
Why Keywords are web-only Tendro deliberately hides certain enrichment fields (Keywords, employee count, etc.) in the mobile app. The design principle is that a cluttered scanning app is an unused scanning app — the field tool stays focused on capture, while the web platform exposes the full enrichment data set for analysis and routing.
5.3 Deleting a Lead
To delete a lead from the web platform:
1. In My Leads, go into the lead and click the three-dots for more options.
2. Choose Delete.
3. Confirm in the dialog. This action cannot be undone.
5.4 Exporting Leads
Tendro can export leads to CSV with full control over which columns are included.
1. From My Leads, click Export CSV in the top right.
2. In the export dialog, check the fields you want to include. Fields are grouped by category (core fields, Contact Information, Custom Fields, Enrichment Data, Activity & Metadata).
3. Drag any field by its handle or reorder columns in the output.
4. Click the Export button (it shows the count of selected fields, e.g. "Export 15 Fields").
5. The CSV downloads to your computer for use in your CRM or marketing automation tool.
Export Leads to CSV — pick and order the fields you want. Field categories collapse and expand.
6. Tags & Custom Fields
Tags (also called custom fields) let you add your own structured questions or labels to lead records. They are useful for in-booth qualification surveys, lead scoring, or any other information you want to capture beyond the standard contact data.
6.1 Where to Manage Tags
Open Tags in the left navigation. The page lists every custom field you have created and lets you add new ones via the Add Field button in the top right.
6.2 Field Types
When creating a new field, choose one of the following types:
Text — Free-text input. Use for open-ended notes.
Tag (colored label) — A simple colour-coded label. Commonly used for hot / warm / cold lead temperature.
Number — Numeric input field. Use for values such as counts, scores, or budget.
Dropdown — Single selection from a predefined list of options. You define the options when creating the field, and can optionally allow a free-text "Other" option.
Date — Date picker field. Use for capturing specific dates such as deadlines, event dates, or follow-up times.
6.3 Creating a Field
1. From the Tags page, click Add Field.
2. Choose a Field Type from the dropdown.
3. Enter a Field Label (this is what scanners will see in the mobile app).
4. For Dropdown fields, add each option. Use the Add option input to enter additional values.
5. Optionally toggle Allow "Other" Option to permit a custom value.
6. Click Create Field.
Add New Field dialog with type Dropdown — define each option, optionally allow Other.
6.4 Import from your CRM
If your CRM is integrated you can click “Import from CRM” next to “Add Field” on the top right corner. It will let you select the fields you have in your CRM and directly import them. Simply select the fields you want and click “Import Fields”
6.5 Field Availability
Custom fields are available across all of your events by default — you do not need to recreate them for every event. They also appear instantly in the mobile app. As soon as you save a new field on the web, scanners can use it on their phones without restarting the app.
A custom TEST field with options A and B, created on the web a moment earlier, appearing in the Additional Information section on the mobile app.
Important — deleting fields in active use: Fields can be deleted from the Tags page with a single click. However, once a field has been used to capture data on real leads, deleting it removes that data alongside the field. Be cautious deleting fields that are already populated on existing leads.
7. Getting Help
Several channels are available when you have questions or run into issues:
In-app support — The Need Help? / Contact Support link is visible at the bottom of the left navigation on every page of the web platform. This routes to the Tendro support team.
Direct email — Reach out directly to your Tendro contact. Email or a quick call is appropriate for anything substantive or strategic.
Follow-up calls — Onboarding is not a one-shot event. If you accumulate a list of questions, schedule another call via your Tendro contact’s calendar and walk through them together.
Feedback on the product — Tendro is actively developed and welcomes input. If something in the app would be more useful with a particular change, share it. Note that not every request will be implemented — Tendro intentionally keeps the app simple, since complexity tends to reduce in-the-field usage.
