What are pricing rules?

Pricing rules are predetermined guidelines applied to your products based on location and volume conditions. Tengiva's system automatically applies these rules (markups by location and volume) on top of the base product value displayed on each product’s page.

Any changes will be reflected within 1 hour across all systems ‘Powered by Tengiva’.

Types of pricing rules:

By location

If you have different price strategies for different locations, you can add the markups here to apply them to specific territories.

By volume (tiers)

Smaller volumes require more labour; therefore, they are more expensive to process. You can add a markup to compensate for this. Tengiva applies default markups for base volumes, but you can edit at any time to better reflect your internal costs.

This functionality acts as a Loyalty Program. You can assign a volume ‘tier’ to a specific client with whom you want to build loyalty. This will apply to all systems ‘Powered by Tengiva’.

Why this is important

Sales tax rates vary by country, and often by regions within a country (states, provinces, territories, or municipalities). To ensure correct billing and payment processing, you are responsible for entering the applicable taxes in this section of the platform.

If the information is entered incorrectly, you may face issues with compliance or customer invoicing. We strongly recommend consulting your official government tax authority to confirm the latest rates before setting up the tax percentages.
