Why did our organization launch this program?
Data shows professionals with diverse relationships are happier and more successful. Yet, on average, less than 5% of employees in medium and large organizations have frequent mentoring and networking conversations.

Our leadership wants to ensure that every employee has access to developing new relationships, career advice and idea sharing. The Ten Thousand Coffees program makes it easy for everyone to build new connections and strengthen existing ones.

How are the monthly introductions made?
Ten Thousand Coffees uses an algorithm that considers your role, as well as the interests and goals you shared when joining, to provide you with a data-driven introduction every month.

How can I share feedback?
After every introduction, the system will automatically check-in to ask how your coffee chat went and capture any feedback you have on your conversation or the program in general.

What is the best way to meet with someone who’s in a different location?
Grab a cup of coffee and meet with your introduction over Skype, Google Hangouts, WebEx or the phone!

Do I have to setup my coffee chat on the Ten Thousand Coffees website?
No, you can use whatever communications tool is most convenient for you to reach out to your introduction and setup a time to chat.

What should I do if I’m matched with a colleague that I already know?
You should still meet with your introduction, even if you already know them. A coffee chat is a great way to uncover shared interests, brainstorm ideas and have a casual conversation. Check out the suggested icebreaker for your introduction for a conversation starter!

What happens if I can’t meet with my introduction?
We understand that schedules are busy, but it’s important for you to meet with every introduction you receive or opt-out of the program - no one likes to get stood up! Even a quick, 30-minute conversation is a great way to get to know someone new.

How do I login to the website?
Follow the link in any Ten Thousand Coffees email or navigate to #{{yourCompanyName}}.tenthousandcoffees.com to login.

What do I do if I’m experiencing technical difficulties?
Select the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the site to access the Ten Thousand Coffees help center. If you don’t see an answer to your issue, the help center will connect you with a real person from Ten Thousand Coffees to resolve your issue.

Is a coffee shop the only place I can meet my introduction?
You can meet your introduction wherever is most convenient for you! Feel free to meet in your office, a meeting room, a restaurant, etc.

How long should each coffee chat last?
It’s completely up to you, but we recommend spending 45 minutes to an hour with your introduction.

Can I increase the number of introductions I receive every month?
Every employee will receive one introduction per month, however, you’re encouraged to use the ‘Browse’ feature to search for other employees who you’re interested in meeting with and inviting them for coffee.

What is an Office Hour?
An Office Hour is a small-group conversation hosted by an executive or thought-leader in your organization about a topic they care about. These conversations typically have 10-15 participants, and can take place in-person or online via video chats. You’re able to RSVP to Office Hours directly on the Ten Thousand Coffees platform.
