I already have a domain. Can I keep it?

Use your existing domain on Tertulia by connecting or transferring it.

Connect or Transfer Your Existing Domain

You can easily use your existing domain with Tertulia once your subscription is set up. There are two ways to do this: connecting your domain or transferring it.

Option 1: Connect Your Domain (Most Common)

In most cases, you can connect your domain by updating your domain’s nameservers. Steps:

  1. Go to your site in Tertulia

  2. Navigate to Settings → Domains

  3. Click Connect an Existing Domain

  4. Follow the instructions to update your nameservers with your current domain provider. Make sure you DELETE previous nameservers and replace them with the ones provided by Tertulia. (Learn more about changing name servers.)

Once updated, your domain will point to your Tertulia site.

Option 2: Transfer Your Domain

If your domain is registered with certain providers (like Wix, Shopify, or Cloudflare), you’ll need to transfer it instead of connecting.

To transfer your domain:

  1. Request an authorization (EPP) code from your current registrar

  2. Start the transfer process in Tertulia (see option 1 above)

  3. Follow the prompts to complete the transfer

Important Notes

  • Make sure you start by selecting “Connect an Existing Domain” in your Tertulia settings before making any DNS changes

  • Domain changes (like nameservers or transfers) can take time to fully propagate
