Quick Summary: Saved Orders allow you to reopen, review, download, or archive order schedules that were previously created. This is useful when an order was not finalized immediately or needs to be checked before execution.
For necessary background, please preread Understanding Order Creation and Review before proceeding with this article.
Where Saved Orders Fit in the Ordering Workflow
When an order is created, the app captures a snapshot of all inputs at that moment. This includes:
Stock on hand
Forecasts
Policies
Demand
Look Forward Days
Saved Orders preserve this snapshot so you can return to the order later. However, the snapshot does not update automatically as data changes.
Step 1: Navigate to Saved Orders
Navigate to the Orders screen > Saved Orders.
This screen displays all order schedules that:
Have been created
May or may not have been downloaded
Have not yet been archived
Saved Orders may include supplier orders or distribution-related orders, depending on how they were created.
Step 2: Filter the Saved Orders List
Use filters to narrow the list and find the order you need.
You can filter by:
Supplier or distribution center
Location
Created by, yourself or any user
Download status, downloaded, not downloaded, or both
After applying filters, click Load to refresh the results.
Step 3: Review Saved Order Information
Each saved order displays high level metadata, including:
Location the order was created for
Source supplier or distribution center
Who created the order
Date the order was created
Total order value
Purchase currency
Download status indicator
This information helps you quickly assess whether the order is still relevant.
Step 4: Reopen a Saved Order Schedule
Click on the location hyperlink of a saved order to reopen the Order Schedule.
When reopened, you can:
The values shown reflect the data as it was at creation time, not current data.
Step 5: Decide Whether to Use or Recreate the Order
If the order was created earlier and not actioned the same day, reassess whether it should still be used.
Because sales, stock levels, and forecasts may have changed, recreating the order often produces a more accurate recommendation.
Step 6: Archive Outdated Orders
If you decide not to proceed with a saved order, archive it to keep the Saved Orders list clean and prevent confusion.
Select the order to archive and click Archive.
Archiving an order:
Removes it from the Saved Orders view
Does not affect any live data or calculations
Prevents accidental reuse of outdated recommendations
β οΈ Watchouts
Stale recommendations: Saved Orders do not update with daily imports. Using old orders can result in over- or under-ordering.
False confidence: A saved order may look valid even though demand or stock positions have changed since creation.
π‘ Tips
Best practice: If an order is not placed on the day it is created, archive it and create a fresh order.
Use Saved Orders intentionally: Saved Orders are most useful for short interruptions in the review process, not long delays.
Check download status: Before recreating an order, confirm whether it has already been downloaded to avoid duplication.
