Use case and explanation
Do not tick this box. Maintaining stocked status for items with such low sales volumes generally creates unnecessary administrative effort.
In most cases, reclassify items as non-stocked if their forecast remains consistently low throughout the year.
Keep an item as stocked only if:
It is an A-Low item with a very high selling price.
Its low forecast is temporary due to seasonality and will increase again later.
If an item has a forecast of 1 unit per year, this setting will keep you stocked at 1 unit rather than triggering ad hoc purchases near that single forecasted unit.
This can be viewed as a very expensive configuration parameter to enable. Consider not only the unit cost of the low-forecast item but also the handling, storage, counting, and maintenance costs for inventory that barely moves.
π‘ Tip: The juice is not worth the squeeze. Avoid enabling this unless there is a strong business justification.
