Navigate to: Settings > Configuration > Supplier

Definition

Allows users to edit the lead time in the order schedule so that it differs from the value imported from the ERP system or configured within the app.

⚠️ Note: Not all ERP systems support this functionality, and some may ignore changes made to lead times.

Use case

Because this feature can create confusion for users, it is recommended to leave it disabled. Instead, promote good data practices by ensuring that lead times are set accurately at the source, eliminating the need for last-minute adjustments in the order schedule.

Changing the lead time in the order schedule does not trigger a recalculation of the recommended order quantity, making it a poor practice.

Explanation

When an order schedule is created, the app takes a snapshot of all inputs available at that point in time to calculate the recommended order quantity.

Inputs include:

  • Data: Stock on hand, purchase orders, and customer orders

  • Demand: Sales forecast, BOM demand, and DC demand

  • Inventory classification: Stocked, non-stocked, obsolete, zero-stocked

  • Policies: Replenishment cycle and fill rate

  • Other: Lead time and safety stock

If, when viewing the order schedule, you notice that it was generated using an incorrect lead time, changing that value within the order schedule will not cause the recommended order quantity to recalculate. It will only adjust the Due Date.

⚠️ Note: Most ERP systems will ignore lead time edits made in the order schedule.
