Quick Summary: Locations are imported from the ERP system and cannot be created in the app. However, selected location attributes can be edited to control reporting visibility, ordering behavior, redistribution eligibility, and regional consolidation.
Purpose
Update editable location attributes to control how a location behaves in planning, ordering, redistribution, and dashboards. This includes managing visibility, redistribution eligibility, and the export of location codes to downstream systems.
Only users with Client Administrator access can perform this task.
Step 1: Open the Locations Screen
Navigate to Locations in the left menu.
Use the Region Level drop-down to filter on physical locations (Level 0) or Regions (anything above 0).

Step 2: Open the Location for Editing
Click the Edit icon next to the location.
Step 3: Update Editable Location Fields
The following fields can be edited in the app.
Currency
Defines the currency used for reporting and valuation at this location.
Export location code
Replaces the location code in downloaded order files. This is commonly used when regional locations must map to an equivalent physical location in the host system.
Distribution Centre vendor code
Replaces the supplying location code in downloaded transfer files.
Allow orders to be created for this location
Controls whether supplier and distribution centre orders can be created. This setting is especially useful when dealing with Regions.➜ For more on this topic, read: Mastering Regions
Show on the executive dashboard

Allow outbound redistribution

Allow inbound redistribution

Active
Controls whether the location is active in planning, ordering, and reporting.
Step 4: Save Changes
Click Update to save your changes.
The updated settings apply immediately.
