Certain recent cameras require going through an activation process before the cameras can be used. We have worked closely with Hikvision and Dahua to fully automate this process for you.
In order to use automatic activation, your cameras must meet these 3 conditions:
Presently only Hikvision and Dahua cameras are supported
Cameras must be factory reset
Cameras must not already be known to your TetherBox
Note: If the camera is already present in the camera list in the timeline, you should delete it before plugging it back to the network.
Note: Some firmware versions have bugs that prevent automatic setups from working. If this does not work for you, please contact us as we may be able to quickly add support for your specific firmware.
