You already mastered the Tetra Insights basics. Here are 5 tips for becoming a Tetra Power User:

Tip 1: Annotate and tag directly from transcripts

You can easily highlight the text from your transcript and add tags or annotations right there.

If you're looking for a particular word or phrase, you can simply use your browser's search function (CMD + F on Mac or CTRL + F on Windows/Linux). You can then jump right to that moment to watch or annotate.

Tip 2: Customize the analysis page

When you're analyzing an asset, you can customize the page to better suit your preferences. Just click the arrow button or drag and resize every area of the page:

Tip 3: Use metadata for powerful filtering

Metadata Tags are user-generated tags applied to individual audio and visual Assets. Examples of these include #student, #PersonaType1, #TargetCustomer, etc. You can assign any custom metadata #tag to your assets.

Then, on the synthesize page, you can filter to only view data from assets with those tags:

Tip 4: Manage and merge tags

Merging tags during synthesis is useful for organizing the annotations that relate to one another. Select multiple tags to be merged into a new, permanent tag that links all the matching conditions of the merged tags. After selecting the desired tags, click “Merge” and assign a name to your new tag:

Tip 5: Save your synthesis as an insight

When synthesizing, instead of just creating a shared link or downloading an mp4, create an insight. When you create an insight, the annotations and order are saved to the Insights tab. From there, you can reshare and redownload if you ever need to. Other users can also see what insights you've created.
