You are completely free to trade during macroeconomic news releases and hold your positions over the weekend. The only restriction applies to aggressive, directional trading solely aimed at exploiting weekend price gaps. Heavy positions opened right before the market closes on Friday and closed immediately upon opening on Monday to profit on gaps will be reviewed and profits may be deducted on Funded accounts.
