Every day at exactly 00:00 UTC, the system records your starting balance for the current day. The allowable daily drawdown is calculated based on this value.
Is floating (unrealized) profit taken into account?
Yes. If you have open trades with unrealized profit at the time of the daily reset (00:00 UTC), this profit is included in the starting balance for the new day.
Example:
Account size: $50,000 At 00:00 UTC, you have an open trade with floating profit of +$2,000.
The starting balance for the new day will be $52,000. The daily drawdown limit will be calculated based on this amount.
If, after the daily reset, the profit on the open trade decreases or turns into a loss, this change will also be taken into account when calculating the daily drawdown. If your Equity falls below the allowable daily limit, it will be considered a violation of the daily drawdown rule — even if the trade has not yet been closed.
