Updated over a month ago

Tezzera uses Stripe to securely process all card payments on behalf of your account or workspace (“Connected Account”). Payment fees depend on:

  1. The country where your account/workspace is registered, and

  2. The currency in which you charge your customer.

Below is a simple breakdown of how fees work across all scenarios.

1. Same-Country & Same-Currency Transactions — 3.3%

This fee applies when:

  • Your Tezzera account/workspace is registered in a specific country, and

  • You charge customers in that same country’s default currency
(Examples: US → USD, UK → GBP, EU → EUR, Australia → AUD)

Examples:

  • A US workspace charging USD → 3.3%

  • A UK workspace charging GBP → 3.3%

  • An EU workspace charging EUR → 3.3%

This is the lowest fee tier because there is no cross-border or currency-conversion cost.

2. Cross-Currency Transactions (No Exchange Required) — 4.3%

This applies when:

  • You charge in a different currency than the default currency of your registered country,

  • But your customer’s card is also denominated in that same currency,

  • Meaning no currency conversion occurs, even though the transaction is international.

Examples:

  • A US account charging GBP (customer pays with a GBP card) → 4.3%

  • A Canadian account charging USD4.3%

This tier reflects international and cross-border processing costs.

3. Cross-Currency Transactions With Conversion — 5.3% to 5.5%

This applies when:

  • You charge in a different currency than the country where your Tezzera account/workspace is registered, and

  • The customer’s bank must convert the charge from one currency to another.

This scenario includes both cross-border fees and foreign-exchange fees.

Examples:

  • A US workspace charging EUR, AUD, or JPY

  • A UK workspace charging USD

  • An EU workspace charging CAD

Typical Fee: 5.3%
In some cases (due to issuer-level FX adjustments), fees may reach up to 5.5%.
