With the rollout of phase 2 of the integration between PeopleHR and Paycircle, we've introduced the following new and improved functionality:

To ensure you can use the new functionality, there are a few simple setup steps you need to follow.

Note: The integration remains one way, from PeopleHR to Paycircle. Any changes you make in Paycircle won't appear in PeopleHR.

Enable the integration

There are four options for setting up the integration, depending on your current usage of the integration and your business needs. To set it up, follow the steps in the relevant section below.

To ensure maximum compatibility with future enhancements, we recommend you use PeopleHR as the source of truth.

Note: This is a one-time task. Once you've done this, you don't need to complete the process again.

PeopleHR as the source of truth with data currently mirrored

If you'd like to use PeopleHR as the source of truth and you have been manually keeping both PeopleHR and Paycircle updated, you need to enable integration mapping. Read more >

PeopleHR as the source of truth without data currently mirrored

If you'd like to use PeopleHR as the source of truth and you haven't been manually keeping both PeopleHR and Paycircle updated, you need to align and map the data. Read more >

Paycircle as the source of truth

If you don't want to use the integration and want to keep Paycircle as the source of truth, you need to remove the data from PeopleHR. Read more >

Maintain current setup

If you don't want to use the integration and want to keep your current setup, there's nothing you need to do but there are a few important things to note. Read more >

New mapping for PeopleHR Employee ID

In Phase 1 of our integration, the PeopleHR Employee ID was mapped to the Payroll ID in Paycircle, which caused issues for customers with other integrations.

To resolve this, we introduced a PeopleHR Employee ID field in Paycircle, which will now determine which records to create, update, or delete based on changes in PeopleHR.

No action is required from you for this change, but we recommend continuing to follow best practices for employee creation.

Note: The Payroll ID will still exist in Paycircle but will no longer be editable through the integration.
